Pink Piggles Jacuzzi Mug — speckled clay
£30
Small batch ceramics by Emily
Handmade pottery, made slowly and meant to be loved.
Wheel-thrown stoneware pottery inspired by the countryside, farm life and the natural world. Earthy, organic pieces with lots of texture, character and little details — all handmade in my pottery studio in Berkshire.
I started pottery after taking an eight-week course and completely fell in love with it. What began as a little hobby quickly became something I genuinely couldn't imagine not having in my life.
I'm a primary school teacher and a mum, so pottery has become my time to switch off, recharge and practise a bit of complete mindfulness. There's something wonderfully calming about being completely focused on centring a piece of clay, pulling walls or sculpting tiny little pigs. Everything else disappears for a while.
A lot of my pottery is inspired by home life. I have two pet pigs, Piggles and HamSolo, who bring my family and me endless joy, as well as chickens who have also managed to find their way into quite a few of my designs. So you'll probably notice a bit of a farmyard theme running through the collection.
Everything I make is designed to be practical as well as beautiful — dishwasher friendly, food safe and made to be used and enjoyed.
I make every piece myself, from throwing the clay and glazing to firing and carefully packaging your finished piece. I love making things that feel at home in your kitchen and make you smile, rather than pieces that are too precious to use.
There is something particularly exciting about opening the kiln and seeing everything for the first time. Every firing is a little bit different, so this is where you'll find the latest pieces as they come out of the kiln.
New pieces are regularly shared on Instagram and TikTok — follow along to see what's just been made.

Please note: Handmade pottery takes time — and no two pieces will ever be exactly identical. Small differences in shape, texture and colour are part of what makes each piece unique. Glazes can also have subtle variations in tone from one firing to the next, so your piece may look slightly different from the photographs.
That's the beauty of something made by hand.
